Kevin Sinfield - Two Years of Triumph
Kevin Sinfield OBE's decision to choose Give as you Live Donate as his preferred platform for two major appeals, resulted in a two-year partnership that yielded two of the most significant fundraising events of their respective years. Their partnership stands as one of the most impressive fundraising achievements in recent memory.
For Kevin's first challenge in 2021, Give as you Live Donate facilitated donations of £2million+ - 75% of which was donated in a 48-hour period. Hence, it remained the home for his 2022 'Ultra 7 in 7 Challenge', raising his total to £5.4million+.
A bespoke solution to unlock partnership success
2022’s challenge demanded upgraded functionality to increase the number of supported charities from just two, to five. The team at Give as you Live Donate delivered personalised technical support and detailed reporting, enabling the donations to be split between the 5 charities. Notably, an impressive 86% of donors covered all fees, in line with Give as you Live's average rate.
The experience provided for donors by Give as you Live Donate also received glowing reviews. One supporter stated, "I felt the site to donate to Kevin's challenges so straightforward to use."
Overall, this serves as an example of the unique fundraising feats achievable when working with a partner that provides a tailored, hands-on approach to your charity's challenges.
What the charity thinks...
Creating fundraisers like the Extra Mile and the Ultra 7 in 7 Challenge is no small feat. Kevin Sinfield’s plans - inspired by his friend Rob Burrow - were very ambitious. Every element, from agreeing on the challenges, and event set-up, to generating national press coverage and finding the right fundraising provider, was crucial to creating a winning formula.
The Give as you Live Donate platform and team were great, helping to process thousands of donations every minute and providing us with timely reports; they were there for us every step of the way.
