What marketing assets do you use to promote Give as you Live?

We use email to contact our volunteers and our supporters. We also use twitter to promote Give as you Live, as well as feature it in our fundraising packs. We have been helped by the staff at Give as you Live to set up competitions and design emails. We also have a dedicated link that allows Special Olympics clubs to set up their own accounts with Give as you Live, so that Give as you Live supports Special Olympics GB at a national level and locally.

How have the funds raised through Give as you Live helped your charity?

Running a volunteer driven national charity requires support invisible from the public. The unrestricted nature of funds raised through Give as you Live are invaluable for keeping the behind the scenes elements of the charity (planning and developing our activities) running, which is traditionally difficult to fundraise for.

What does just £5 raised mean to your charity?

£5 enables us to pay a volunteer’s expenses, which in turn enables that volunteer to provide vital support and encouragement to our athletes with intellectual disabilities.
