Who are your charity and what you do? What impact has been made with the funds raised?

Phoenix Heroes is a non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) supporting veterans and their families who are dealing with mental health difficulties, finding the transition of leaving the Armed Forces a struggle and need additional support with employment networking and joining a family focused veteran communities. Our strength is the ability to build communities around the UK which create a natural peer support environment, to date we have helped over 500 veterans and their families across the spectrum of our service support, we are veterans supporting veterans! We have been using Give as You Live to help raise funds via online shopping and fundraising events and have raised over £10,000 of which has kept us going throughout some difficult periods.

How does your charity use Give as you Live? How do you share Give as you Live with your supporters?

We use Give as You Live for online donations, online shopping feature and our supporter create their own fundraising pages for their events. We share this fantastic platform across social media, our newsletters and our website.

What has been your greatest success using Give as you Live?

One of our supporters and team members raised just under £8,000 on an event that he completed in a day, this was a great achievement and helped us to start the New Year with a positive approach to our planned veteran projects.

Any top tips you would recommend to other charities?

It is a great way to offer your supporters a user friendly platform for them to generate their own fundraising pages with the added bonus of the online shopping feature.

Give as you Live has been a brilliant platform to raise much needed funds, it is user friendly with a professional look, we will continue to use it for all future fundraising events.
