Family Holiday Charity case study
How Family Holiday Charity are using Give as you Live to raise funds.
Children and Young People sector
What does this mean to your charity?
The majority of trips we offer are three-to-four night breaks in a caravan at a UK holiday park by the sea. With £250, we can send one family on a three-to-four night break and this covers everything from accommodation and park entertainment passes to insurance and administration. The beach, of course, is free every time!
A short break isn't the best solution for every family and so day trips are often awarded to those who might struggle to spend a night away. This may be perhaps because they lack confidence, have caring responsibilities or need to stay close to home for medical treatment. £250 allows us to provide a day trip for 5 families - approximately 20 people.
What communication channels do you use to promote Give as you Live?
We promote Give as you Live mainly on our social media channels; Facebook, Twitter and occasionally Instagram, as well as in the odd supporter email. The example tweets and Facebook posts are incredibly useful to pop into our comms schedule.
What the charity thinks...
Give as you Live is a fantastic way for our supporters to raise additional donations for the charity at no extra cost. We receive the weekly emails with example tweets and Facebook posts, pop them into our comms schedule, and then we can receive extra donations hassle free!
