Who are your charity and what you do? What impact has been made with the funds raised?
Church Urban Fund is a national charity working with local leaders, churches and other faith groups all over England. Our local partners are committed to serving and strengthening the community where they live.
We are working to build just and flourishing communities so that everyone across England can access support when they need it most. Read on to learn about our vision, mission, and impact.
We aim to tackle complex challenges like poverty and exclusion across England by mobilising people, churches, and whole communities to make a positive difference. We understand that local people know their communities best, so we make sure local skills and knowledge are amplified and valued in everything we do.
As a Christian organisation, we are motivated by a vision of the world as God intends it to be. We are passionate about building communities where material needs are met and everyone feels connected, valued, and loved.
How does your charity use Give as you Live? How do you share Give as you Live with your supporters?
To be honest we haven't used it much over the last few years due to many staff changes and no-one really managing the account, but we are hoping to change this from now on. We have added a link to our website and promoted it on our social media pages as a way for our supporters to donate to CUF doing their shopping etc that doesn't cost them anything extra. We know many are struggling due to the cost of living crisis so we want to encourage ways to support us that wont put a strain on them financially

Key areas of focus
We work with local leaders, churches and other faith groups all over England who are committed to serving and strengthening the community where they live.
*Supporting people out of homelessness.
We mobilise volunteers, churches and groups to work together to prevent and respond to homelessness.
*Transforming church and community connections.
We equip churches to grow new connections and make a difference where they live. We also provide tools and resources to identify and respond to local need.
*Fully welcoming refugees.
We support and advocate for refugees arriving in England, so they can be full welcomed into society and rebuild their lives.
