Who are your charity and what you do? What impact has been made with the funds raised?
CPRE Hampshire are passionate about protecting the countryside from ongoing pressure on its resources. We exist to examine major planning applications in Hampshire to ensure as far as possible that the countryside is preserved and valuable landscapes are not permanently scarred by inappropriate development. Recent successes include opposition to the Veolia incinerator near Alton and the Aquind interconnector construction that would have seriously damaged landscape in the south of the county.
What has been your greatest success using Give as you Live?
We have recently completed a highly successful project to reinstate over 3 Km of hedgerows on an estate in the West of the county. Hedgerows not only provide effective wildlife corridors but assist in avoiding soil erosion and damage as well as storing carbon to mitigate climate change. We plan further work on hedgerows in 2022. We are a membership funded organisation and donations are fundamental to enabling us to continue with projects and schemes such as these.
Please provide an overview of the charity experience using our Give as you Live platform?
As well as our website, www.cprehampshire.org.uk, we send regular enewsletters to members, volunteers and supporters and members receive a printed magazine twice a year with updates from around the county.

What the charity thinks...
CPRE Hampshire have been using Give as you live in two key ways to raise money. The branch advertises the opportunity to use Give as You Live as a route to buying on line with the selling company making small but meaningful contributions to the branch. We have been using this for several years and it has always provided a small but useful contribution to the branch. In 2021 we decided to use Give as You Live as the main route for individuals and organisations that make donations to the charity. In 2021 we raised £6,293 through Give as You Live, a vital contribution to the financial health of the branch.
